The Division of Housing and Communities (DHCD) First Time Home Buyer program provides buyers with up to $500 towards closing cost. Grant funds cannot be used as a form of down payment or home buying expenses. Income Limits apply. The property must be a either a single family home or duplex.
LANCASTER HOUSING OPPORTUNITY PARTNERSHIP
LHOP provides down payment and closing cost assistance up to $5,000.00 ($10,000.00 in Columbia Borough) in the form of a 0% interest loan with no monthly payments. These loans are provided in combination with mortgage products offered by Partner Lenders to purchase homes located in Lancaster County and at the minimum meet FHA requirements. Borrowers wishing to be considered for a loan must complete the Home Buyer Course prior to signing a Sales Agreement.
NEW KENSINGTON COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION
The New Kensington Community Development Corporation (NKCDC) provides buyers with up to $7500 in matched funds toward down payment assistance. The property must be located in Philadelphia County. Buyers must have a signed Agreement of Sale and Pre-Approval letter. Property must be a single family home, townhouse, condominium and 1-4 unit property's.
